She has been working in the mucosal immunology field and in particular she studied the anti-inflammatory role of thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) in the gut. She has recently described the existence of the Gut Vascular Barrier and her current research focus mainly on its role in the development of intestinal and extra-intestinal diseases.
